quick cairo and giza trip

We flew EgyptAir to Cairo and checked into Fairmont Nile (thank you $200 hotel credit). We had the fanciest dinner we’ve ever had thanks to the in-hotel credit.

We were going to Cairo Jazz Club, but it was in the middle of the week and it wasn’t a fun place

We got a tour guide to explore the Pyramids of Giza / Sphinx. The tour guide showed us the tombs. You could definitely explore this without a tour guide but they make it 1000x better because you’ll learn so much about the history and there are other stops included.

Dinner at Sobhy Kaber– not super vegetarian friendly, but still good overall!

Explore Mosque of Muhammad Ali– so, so beautiful.

Travel to Rome :)

Overall: I learned so much history on this trip and the pyramids are truly incredible. I would Uber most places, dress modestly outside of the hotel, and book tours in advance.
